About the Global Entrepreneurship Week Germany

Since 2010, the Global Entrepreneurship Week Germany is hosted by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action. With launching the so-called “Gründungswoche Deutschland” (Global Entrepreneurship Week Germany), the Ministry wants to create a nationwide network in order to promote the entrepreneurial spirit all over Germany. Therefore, the Ministries of Economy in all 16 states in Germany as well as many business umbrella associations are involved in this campaign. Their task is to involve their members and networks who offer events for (potential) founders and young people, young entrepreneurs. In order to raise the awareness of entrepreneurship and its importance within the society, all these people are brought together.

All in all, the partners offer youth competitions, entrepreneurship fairs, start-up-days, consulting/expert advice and many more. The partners - focusing on youth entrepreneurship - put an emphasis on recognizing and supporting entrepreneurs who have started their own companies or want to start a business. All combined activities in Germany help to inspire, encourage and support the next generation of entrepreneurs in Germany.

The Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action is supported by the RKW Competence Center which organizes the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Germany.
